ASIA Meeting 2017, A FAIR Share

ODC-SCI will be present at the ASIA meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico from April 27 - 29. ODC-SCI will be hosting a course at this meeting. The course will focus on enhancing the value of preclinical spinal cord injury research data. The primary educational objectives of the course are as follows:

Upon completion of the course, the participants will be able to

·       Understand the “FAIR” principles that underlie data that are Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable.

·       Discuss the opportunities for sharing and using preclinical research data in the SCI field,

·       Describe current ideas for the structure and implementation of standards for SCI preclinical research data collection and reporting, and

·       Describe examples in which implementation of data standards and data reuse can reveal novel discoveries and hypotheses in basic, translational, and clinical science of SCI.
